Marianne Sarcich discusses the topic, All About the Sisters - Breast Health, Breast Cancer, Breast Advocacy. Marianne was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in 2016 and explains how important it is to know your risk level--don't be dismissed just because of your age. Women under 40 tend to get the most aggressive types of breast cancer! There's an assessment tool online that will create a personalized action plan for you as well as link you to communities for additional resources and support. This tool can be found at begabbi.com and was created by a breast cancer survivor. Marianne also talks about her experience with breast cancer, the issues with funding, and how we can support our friends and family with cancer.

Marianne Sarcich, a breast cancer survivor and advocate, is the founder of the breast cancer peer support group entitled In This Together Philly Wilmington, where she helps patients and survivors of every stage and age in Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. She connects group members not only to each other but also to information, resources and organizations that can help ease the burden of the diagnosis and treatment and help make them informed patients who are confident in self-advocating. She also advocates locally and nationally by creating programming and awareness for the breast cancer community with a focus on metastatic breast cancer. Her group can be found on here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2006782929610286/. She can also be found on Facebook at @marianne.sarcich, on Twitter at @sarcich, and on LinkedIn at @marianne-sarcich. Her story will be included in a book which is coming out later in 2022.
